CNN anchor and CIA operative Anderson Cooper expressed serious concern Tuesday that President Elect Trump may read news items published at Infowars.com.

Moments after the network aired an attack piece against radio host Alex Jones and his flagship website, Cooper asked former White House Political Director Jeffrey Lord if the next president of the United States should get his information specifically from “Infowars.”

“This is the man who’s going to be president of the United States going, you know, following Infowars talking about, who believes it was an inside job – 9/11,” Cooper stammered.

“Right, I don’t know anything about Infowars,” Lord says, adding that Trump’s claim about illegal voters is also bolstered by an article from the National Review’s John Fund entitled, “Non-Citizens Are Voting.”

“Again, there’s no evidence three million people voted illegally,” Cooper tells Lord definitively, before asking, “Does it scare you that the President elect is listening to Infowars?”

Lord explains Trump’s treatment is similar to that of former President Ronald Reagan, who was scrutinized by the media for having affiliations with the conservative John Birch Society.

But “They believe 9/11 was an inside job!” Cooper argues. “They believe all Sandy Hook, it’s all crisis actors – people I’ve interviewed. Their followers terrorized the families of these people who lost children.”

Lord responds, “I am not here to vouch for Infowars, I don’t listen to Infowars…”

“But the president elect seems to…” Anderson says.

The conversation took place after CNN aired an attack piece targeting Alex Jones and Infowars for their support of Donald Trump and vice versa.

It should be noted Anderson Cooper spent two summers in Langley, Virginia, interning for the Central Intelligence Agency prior to becoming a reporter at CNN with zero prior journalism or broadcast experience.

Cooper’s and CNN’s efforts to denigrate Infowars are part of a larger lash out by the establishment media against so-called “fake news,” which they claim helped push President Elect Donald Trump into office.
